The CFOP Method is the most popular method used to speedsolve a Rubik's Cube. There are many algorithms and 4 steps: Cross, F2L, OLL, and PLL. The last 2 steps require a total of 78 algorithms, but beginners can use a 4 look last layer to solve it in 16 algorithms.

In the first step of 2-Look OLL, we create a cross on the top using one of 3 algorithms. Then, we orient the corners using 7 algorithms.
In 2-Look PLL we first permute the Corners using 2 algorithms, then permute edges using 4 algorithms.
In full CFOP, we do OLL and PLL in one step each.
